 Graphic Designers (Project-Based)

This position is a contract, project-based role. We are looking for several contractors to help us with client-based design work. This position can work as little more or much as desired; we will email out a project brief whenever we are looking for someone, and you can hop on board if it’s something that excites you.

SQUARESPACE DESIGNER

Role and Responsibilities: 

  • The designer will be expected to execute a Squarespace website based on creative direction provided by the creative director.

  • Choose a template based on the brand needs, customize the template to fit the brand.

  • Implement brand design elements (logos, colors, typefaces, patterns, icons, etc.) and client content in an informed, creative way to best display the client’s expertise and attract their audience.

  • Communicate directly with the creative director regarding internal and external design feedback.

  • Ability to turn around drafts on a tight deadline (5 business days for full design ideation; 1-2 business days for smaller edits and drafts).

BRAND DESIGNER

Role and Responsibilities: 

  • The designer will be expected to execute various client designs (including logos, patterns, iconography, print and digital marketing materials) based on creative direction provided by the creative director.

  • The designer will be given a brand strategy document and moodboard, and be expected to translate visual and written inspiration into a visual identity.

  • Communicate directly with the creative director regarding internal and external design feedback.

  • Ability to turn around drafts on a tight deadline (5 business days for full design ideation; 1-2 business days for smaller edits and drafts).

  • Complete various ad hoc designs for Anchored Creative Studio’s internal use, such as social media shares.

About You:

  • Excitement to work with growing businesses, self starter, and organized.

  • Dedicated to graphic design that not only looks great, but communicates a brand’s mission and tone.

  • Comfortable working independently and communicating primarily through email and project management systems.

  • Detail oriented, excited by collaboration, and a huge fan of efficiency.

  • Comfortable making recommendations to the owner when something isn’t working, or a process or automation could be completed better. 

  • Must be US based. Being based in the Denver metro area for occasional in-person meetings a plus.

  • Hours can be flexible, but should be available on a consistent, set basis for client scheduling.

Experience:

  • Experience working on freelance projects.

  • Well-versed with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Illustrator) and Squarespace.

  • Must provide their own, up-to-date Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.

  • Experience communicating via project management systems such as Asana, as well as Slack.

  • (Squarespace Designer only) Knowledge of Squarespace markdown blocks, code, and other Squarespace customizations.

Compensation:

  • All positions will be paid a flat, project-based rate depending on their experience and size of the project. We believe that hourly pay can potentially de-value your work and efficiency. If you prefer to be paid in a different format, just let us know.

 
 

content creator / copywriter (contractor)

We are looking for a content creator / copywriter to help our team in creating content (blogs, newsletters, course workbooks, etc.) for the Anchored Creative Studio brand. This position can work as little more or much as desired; we will email out a project brief whenever we are looking for someone, and you can hop on board if it’s something that excites you.

Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Take the creative direction for content and run with it, infusing copy with our brand’s tone and voice.

  • Expand an outline into a cohesive blog, newsletter or workbook.

  • Provide recommendations for new content ideas, and have quarterly content brainstorming calls with the creative director to chart scheduled content.

About You:

  • Excitement to work with growing businesses, self starter, and organized.

  • Experience writing content and copy.

  • Comfortable working independently and communicating primarily through email and project management systems.

  • Detail oriented, excited by collaboration, and a huge fan of efficiency.

  • Comfortable making recommendations to the owner when something isn’t working, or a process or automation could be completed better. 

  • Must be US based. Being based in the Denver metro area for occasional in-person meetings a plus.
