My Approach
I struggled with my business branding for years. I couldn’t get anything to stick, and felt like I was constantly changing everything about my brand. My strategy wasn’t consistent, and it was never clear exactly what I was offering.
Once I figured the missing piece, it changed everything. I was able to create a brand that clearly and consistently stated who I loved to work with and what I did best. And more than that - my brand was completely in line with who I am as a person, and is something that can grow with me.
I’ve found that the secret to creating a brand you’re passionate about, is consistent and clear, and speaks to your greatest strengths is a values-based brand. This is a brand that’s built on your own personal values.
Wait, what? Why would I build my brand on values?
Many personal brands build their brand based on services, or the audience they want to work with.
This works great at the beginning, but a few months or years in, you’re likely going to experience the itch to pivot your business and tackle something new.
At that point, the audience you have gathered for a specific service you offer is no longer relevant, and it’s back to square one.
When you build your foundation on values first, you’re building on top of something that is unchanging.
