About Anna Beyerle Rosen

For most of my personal and professional life, I’ve wanted to do things the right way. I had a traditional education, and imagine my surprise when I found it nearly impossible to get hired for a professional writing job right out of college. I blamed it on my lack of internships, but the reality was: I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Up until now, I’d followed a set path, and on my own, I had no idea what the next steps looked like.

Eventually, I landed a job, and after that, I landed one I really liked. I felt like I was checking all the boxes and was enjoying my professional career, until I started to get dissatisfied with traditional job expectations. As a creative, I didn’t feel like my creativity was confined to a nine-to-five, and I eventually went freelance, which evolved to running my own creative studio for five plus years.

I eventually left my creative studio because of extreme burnout. As an owner, I was all alone, and although I had support, I was finding it nearly impossible to compare myself to those who were doing “better” than me. I was comparing my first drafts to their finished products, and was trying to fit in instead of owning my powerful, unique lived experience.

After closing my studio, I went back to a nine-to-five, but this time in a more flexible remote environment. I took the time to heal from burnout, and equip myself with tools like the enneagram that help me to better understand myself and those around me. I’ve also developed the Creating Cyclically Framework, a tool for infusing rest and balance into your creative work.

Some fun facts about me:

  • I’m a Kentucky native living in Tennessee, by way of Ohio, Colorado, and New York. Living around the country has been one of my favorite experiences.

  • I love personality tests as a tool for self growth and awareness. I’m a 9 wing 1 (enneagram), INFP (Meyers-Briggs), and high S/C (DISC).

  • I’m passionate about urban development, great branding and design (especially a good set of brand guidelines), gardening, yoga, and any form of creative expression.

  • I’m a Libra sun, Virgo moon, and Leo rising.

My learned and lived experiences that add to my work and qualify me for what I do:

  • Enneagram assessment certification through Cloverleaf

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and postgraduate certificate in Graphic Design

  • Registered yoga teacher (200 hours RYT, and 85 hour RPYT)

  • 12+ years professional experience in integrated communications, strategy, and design work

  • Five years as a full-time business owner
