Yoga & Movement
I am not naturally athletic. I’ve always been uncoordinated, not very flexible, and definitely have never had a body that lends itself well to athletics. I first became hooked on yoga in my early 20s, burnt out on the gym and running and wanting to find a way to move my body in a new way.
I found out that yoga was something I was good at. Not that I was the most flexible, the most coordinated, or the most advanced practitioner in classes - far from it. But I found my mind more focused, my body stretched and stronger, and the feeling of camaraderie in attending a yoga class. Every was choosing to be there as a way to mentally and physically better themselves.
In 2017, I became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT). I found that through these trainings, I found ways to integrate yoga into my everyday life and deepen my own relationship with the practice.
I am interested in working with prenatal clients to aid in preparing their bodies for labor and delivery, as well as conducting beginner’s and all-level vinyasa classes.
I am available for public and private events and classes. Contact me for more details!
Fun fact: my husband proposed to me in a yoga studio - all the more reason I’m deeply connected to this type of movement!
